Class Lecturer Students Work

1 Taking Attendance 1) Order in class 2) Those not present will be marked as absent. Latecomers must take the responsibility to see the lecturer after class for attendance to be updated 3) Definition of late- student not in class when attendance is taken 4) The remark column in the attendance system will be updated with information of the absenteeism if the student provides the supporting document to the lecturer. 2 Introduction / Learning Outcome (LO) 1) Students are to be observant. 2) All hand-phones, PDAs and electrical devices emitting noise are to be switched off or put on silent mode. 3) Q and A session allowed after end of LO delivery 4) Time frame will be allocated for the LO explanation and activities decided to be delivered for a particular class. 3 Lecture 1) Students to be attentive 2) Queries from students to be written down and can be addressed during the Q and A session at the end of the class.

4 / Class Discussion 1) All assigned work must be completed and marks will be given / justified as per the assessment criteria available in A OCC 2) Problems or clarifications can be addressed / raised after class or even during tutorials (discussion of assessments) 3) Students are expected to work on the topic given, and not doing other subject’s works. 4) All group work/ class discussion should be completed and discuss within the decided time frame. 5 Q and A 1) All questions which requires lecturer intervention to be raised individually or with groups. 2) Questions can be directed to any individual based on the learning objective / outcomes of the day.

6 Independent Group Work It is incumbent upon everyone to carry out the assigned task and report the activity to the lecturer at the end of each session 7 Lecture Summary 1) Each person / group will take turns to summarize the lecture 2) Other students are supposed to be observant 3) This lecture summary can be repeated in the following class to relate to the new LO. 8 General 1) You are not allowed to use your hand-phones during class. If it is a really urgent call, please seek permission from the lecturer to answer the call outside the classroom 2) Everyone must remain seated until the class is adjourned. In case of ’emergency’, please seek leave from the lecturer 3) No newspapers, magazines or novels to be read in class during the session.

4) Laptops and notebooks are to be set-aside during the session. 5) All project or in courses to be submitted with the C SFF, on the date assigned and to the respective center administrator (s).
