Black Hole Side Disk Earth

The right side of the figure illustrates schematically Doppler shift measurements made on the central region of M 87 that suggest rapid rotation of the matter near the center. The measurement was made by studying how the light from the disk is red shifted and blue shifted by the Doppler effect, using the Faint Object Spectrograph aboard the Hubble Space Telescope. Part of the swirling disk spins in Earth’s direction and the other side spins away from Earth, thus causing opposite Doppler shifts. The gas on one side of the disk is moving away from Earth at a speed of about 550 kilometers per second (red shift). The gas on the other side of the disk is approaching the Earth at the same speed (blue shift). This high velocity suggests a huge gravitational field at the center of M 87, far larger than could be accounted for by the visible stars there.

This is what would be expected for matter swirling around the super massive , with part of it falling forever into the black hole and part of it being ejected in the high-speed jet seen coming from the nucleus of M 87. Here is a simulation of what gas swirling around a super massive black hole in the core of a spiral galaxy might look like (Source). Ever feel like you are living in a black hole – an endless vortex, spinning out of control? Lost in some, Inner Space with no control over the future and hazy recollections of the past? Not just the distant memories of childhood, but perhaps the events of last week, yesterday – what someone said to you an hour ago. Now we ” re not talking about the morning after the last big party you went to (although the similarities are there, we admit! ) What we are describing is indicative of the aftermath of an acquired brain injury – ABI.

An injury caused to the brain due to accident. (Not self inflicted due to partying beyond the call of duty! ) ‘Aw – but we were having fun! Why do we have to read all this depressing stuff, ReTroGrrl?’ Dear, dear people! We gave you fun. We gave you laughter. We gave you HTML Heaven.

Now is it too much to ask for your attention on a matter most important? Hmm, okay maybe it is… however ReTroGrrl will not sway from the task of educating you lot! What’s that? You ” ll stay? Oh, bless your little cotton mouse pads! Read on, fellow space travellers… Let us now introduce ReTroGrrl’s partner in crime and Grand Keeper of The Computer, Retro Man. Retro Man is an ABI affected personage.

(um, AB… ).
